Goodgame Studios Poker is down

What's happening

Since Saturday morning, Goodgame Poker players can log in, but they can't play.

• It started on 24 October.
• You can't play at the tables.
• You can't play Sit & Go.
• Tables that do open are frozen. Seats sit on "Waiting..." and "Is thinking", and the hand never moves on.
• There has been no announcement from the developers.

Could it be the PHP bug?

• On 21 October, two critical bugs in PHP, which a huge part of the web runs on, were patched. Attackers are already using them.
• Read the warning: Critical Vulnerabilities in PHP Require Immediate Patching (CISA).
• We don't know if Goodgame uses PHP, or if this is why the game is down. The developers haven't said.

Is this the end?

• We don't know. The developers haven't said.
• A game that lets you in but won't deal a single hand, with no word from the people who run it, could be the shutting down of Goodgame Studios Poker.
• We played it on and off for over ten years. We hope we're wrong.
